Training – Aged Care

The Living Longer, Living Better aged care reforms for both residential aged care and community care providers have placed a responsibility on the individual providers to become more competitive in the sector.  IMG have developed training courses for aged care Customer Relations and Management teams to enable them to promote, market and sell the services of their organisation ensuring they are best equipped to capture the attention of their customers in a competitive environment.  Training can be delivered either through scheduled courses or can be client specific and targeted to your own requirements.

With the introduction of Accommodation Bonds and Payments, the perception of the Customer and/or their family members has changed from a temporary accommodation mindset of “Fee for Service” to one of a more permanent and ‘Ownership” mindset.  As they are now investing funds into the ‘partnership’ with the facility, the Customer and/or their families feel a greater sense of entitlement and shop around for the best option to suit their needs in the same way that anyone, of any age chooses their accommodation.

IMG recognises that the mindset of the customer has shifted and therefore the mindset of aged care facilities and community care services also has to shift.  This involves re-training of staff at all levels.  IMG’s aim is to provide the Aged Care and Community Care industry with valuable workshops and seminars specifically designed to address what has become the challenging business of promoting the “benefits” of the facility and its services.

Modules can be tailored to the individual client and facility and can include:

  • The Changing Aged Care Environment
  • What are we Promoting – Push / Pull Factors?
  • Features and Benefits
  • Know your Competitions
  • The First Meeting
  • Putting the Customer in the Picture
  • Overcoming Objections and Winning Over the Customer
