Background

Susan Malone has a diverse business background. As a result of many years as Managing Director of companies involved in property development, tourism, hospitality and manufacturing, Susan's breadth of experience is now well applied to the Retirement Village industry and the unprecedented growth the industry is experiencing.

Susan has always accepted a challenge:

-Purchasing an Island Resort in receivership for the third time and with eighteen months expanding the accommodation by 90%, running it at 90% occupancy and winning the Queensland Tourism Award for the best accommodation in its price category.
-Creating a cohesive association from a disparate group of business operators the performance of which won a Queensland State Award for tourism associations for its effectiveness in the marketplace on a limited budget.
-While working as General Manager of Becton Classic Residences (2000 - 2004) created the first true up-market, resort style retirement community in Australia which now has in excess of 400 residents. This successful community is recognised as one of Australia's premier retirement developments and has been showcased internationally for its innovation in service delivery.
-After recognising the need for a comprehensive IT system to manage Retirement Communities, worked with Sage (Software Developer), to develop SAM - Sales and Management system for Retirement. This program is unique to IMG and allows web based access and comprehensive sales management of remote Villages.

This ability to not only see the bigger picture but to create and encourage the necessary change for it to happen allows IMG to assist developers to convert their vision into reality.
